• The ABB 1SBL417024R7200 UA75..RA 3-pole contactors are the ultimate solution for demanding capacitor switching applications where the peak current far surpasses 100 times the nominal root mean square (rms) current. These contactors are designed for precision and reliability and are supplied complete with integrated damping resistors, eliminating the need for additional inductances (see table below).

• Safety is a top priority in capacitor switching, and these contactors excel in this aspect. Before re-energizing capacitors during contactor activation, the capacitors must be discharged to ensure safety (maximum residual voltage at terminals ≤ 50 V). The electrical durability of these contactors is exceptional, with a rating of 250,000 operating cycles for Ue < 500 V and 100,000 operating cycles for 500 V ≤ Ue ≤ 690 V.
